About the Opportunity:
We are seeking a Facilities Manager or Assets Manger to be responsible for the day-to-day management of properties on behalf of the South Australian Government. The public assets include but not limited to are schools, hospitals, courts & police stations along with many other public assets with the ability to manage breakdown and maintenance, preventative maintenance, and small project management. This role will see you based in Mount Gambier in a permanent fulltime position. 

Key Duties include, but are not limited to:

• Lead asset maintenance planning by identifying risks, opportunities, and lifecycle cost efficiencies across facilities and capital works.

• Drive delivery of strategic asset plans and support the Property Asset Management team’s business objectives.

• Oversee contractor performance, ensuring compliance with safety, quality, budget, and scope.

• Act as the primary contact for technical, facilities, and asset management matters.

• Analyse reactive maintenance data to inform preventative schedules and continuous improvement.

• Maintain accurate records and reporting to support audits, inspections, and subcontractor performance.

• Foster strong relationships with agencies, suppliers, subcontractors, and consultants.
