Ventia has an exciting opportunity for experienced and qualified Electricians, this position will be FIFO from Perth with the shutdown commencing on the 1st June 2025. 

 

Interstate applications 

  • Ventia will cover paid flights from Perth to Barrow Island (only) 
  • Candidates to be available in Perth for PPE collection prior to mobilising 
  • Candidates to complete paid online inductions prior to mobilising 

 

About the Opportunity 

  • 1st of June - Barrow Island shutdown | Paid inductions and flights from Perth 
  • Fantastic & on-site modern amenities, own room, gym, swimming pool and more 
  • Get involved in future LNG Projects and shutdown opportunities as they arise 

 

Shutdown dates: 

  • Main shutdown - Commences on the 1st June (12-hour days) - 2 week duration 

 

What's on offer: 

  • Casual Rate $79.61 per hour 
  • Casual rate $89.56 per hour for night shift 
  • Travel allowance $160 per/swing 
  • Paid Flights from Perth 
  • Paid inductions completed prior to mobilisation 
  • Own room with air-conditioning and foxtel 
  • Amenities - Swimming pools, tennis courts and Gym (Fitness classes) 
  • Get involved in future LNG Projects and shutdown opportunities as they arise 
  • Dive into both preventative and maintenance tasks 

 

About Ventia: 

Ventia is seeking experienced & qualified Electricians. This casual role will see you working FIFO out of Perth as part of the Barrow Island Turnaround team on Chevron's 2025 turnaround (TAR 112) and as opportunities arise to join future shutdowns, campaign maintenance and frontline teams. 

 

What you'll need: 

Essential 

  • Electrical Trade Qualification 
  • WA unrestricted licence 
  • EEHA valid within 3 years 
  • CPR/LVR valid within 1 year 
  • White card 
  • C Class Drivers licence  

 

Desirable 

  • Rope Access certification 
  • High Voltage Operation 

 

What you will bring: 

  • Experience in electrical maintenance and fault-finding activities 
  • Experience in calibration and isolation 
  • Experience with hydrocarbon production systems and associated hazards 
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work within a team environment 
  • Safety - first mindset following safety protocols and hazard procedures
