The Role
Ventia are currently looking to engage an experienced Mechanical Fitter to join our Defence Base Services contract. Reporting to the Infrastructure Services Manager, this position will see you based at RAAF Base Pearce, Bullsbrook WA, and working within the Maintenance Team performing maintenance works on a range of systems.


This position is a full-time permanent role, working hours are Monday to Friday, 07:00am – 03:30pm (with overtime opportunities) and 1x RDO (Rostered Day Off) per month. A company car (Tool of Trade vehicle) will also be provided for travel to and from the base each day.


The payrate for this position is $39.48 per hour.


To be considered for this position, you must be an Australian Citizen and willing to undergo a police check.

Key duties, but not limited to:

  • Maintenance work on compressors, generators, and generator fuel tanks
  • Perform ongoing maintenance activities on a variety of assets including swimming pool maintenance, facilities maintenance and general mechanical related tasks
  • Operating and maintenance of CEPS and LEGS and other support systems of the base infrastructure
  • Concise defect reporting and repair actions to the assigned supervisor
  • Complete work orders and verify tasks in accordance with requirements
  • First point of call for all estate upkeep faults relative to the role
  • Hazard identification and management 


Requirements:

  • Trade Certificate – Mechanical Fitter
  • Driver’s License
  • Experience with compressed air systems and pneumatics and hydraulics
  • High-Risk Work License, Working at Heights, EWP – Highly regarded
