Ventia are seeking an experienced Catering Manager for our Defence contract based at RAAF Tindall, Katherine. As a very hands-on role, this is an excellent role for anybody looking to develop, upskill and increase future career prospects.

 

As this position is working on a defence site it is essential that you are an Australian Citizen and able of obtain and maintain a defence pass. Ventia will arrange these on your behalf, this will entail police clearance checks in the recruitment process.

 

To be successful in this role you will have experience of:

 

  • Producing rosters and managing FOH staff
  • Complete monthly stock reconciliation, monitor wastage and control stock levels
  • Train and support staff to ensure strong customer service is delivered
  • Ensure the menus for routine meals services, private and formal functions are met
  • Complete the banking, recording keeping and reporting of daily transactions
  • Review Mess Comments Books and Maintenance Registers

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Basic Financial skills highly regarded
  • Previous experience in managing a fast paced business with a large F&B operation
  • Certificate IV in Hospitality Operations, Business, F&B or related discipline
  • Good computer skills (e.g. Microsoft Office Suite, RSA, SAP
  • Ability to lead and motivate staff under minimal supervision is highly regarded
