The Role
Ventia are currently looking to engage a Marine Fitter to support our team working on the Defence Maintenance Contract. Reporting to the Technical Supervisor, you will be required to perform all trade related tasks associated with the maintenance and repair of boats and equipment. You will also be operating machinery and assist in maintenance and construction tasks as required.


This is a full-time permanent role, working Monday – Friday, 07:00am to 03:45pm with a 12:00pm finish on Fridays (38hours per week) with some paid overtime opportunities available and will see you based at Palmer Barracks in South Guildford.

Your duties will include, but are not limited to: 

  • Undertake major overhauls and authorised modifications to Marine assets
  • Perform maintenance, servicing, repairs and preventative maintenance on Marine assets
  • Reassemble, test, clean and adjust repaired or replaced parts 


Requirements: 

  • Trade Certificate III as a Fitter & Turner or Diesel Fitter 
  • Current WA HR Driver’s License 
  • Open and clear communication within a team environment 
  • Specialist Marine Fleet equipment experience is desirable
