We have a vacancy for a Truck Driver to join our Roading Division in Whangarei. This role is an exciting opportunity to be involved within our Roading NZ contract. As such, there may be opportunities for a high performer to direct their career path into other areas within the wider Roads NZ business.

About the role

The role is based in Whangarei, but also covers the wider district area.  If you enjoy working independently outdoors in beautiful locations with support and connection from an experienced team, maybe this is for you? Enjoy an excellent quality of life where you get to enjoy flexible hours working on a recently won maintenance contract which will provide long-term, secure work. 

Position Requirements

  • 3 years of proven work experience in road or civil construction are preferred; No formal qualifications are required, STMS qualifications (L1,) are an advantage • Familiar with basic maintenance and construction equipment
  • Demonstrated ability, willingness and commitment to be multi-skilled and up-skilled
  • Minimum Class 4 Driver’s licence, Class 5 preferred - experience spreading aggregate

The successful candidate shall be motivated to ensure that projects are completed to the clients' satisfaction while meeting or exceeding Ventia's expectations.  You will need to be hard working and reliable, have good communication skills and enjoy working in a team enviornment.
