Apprentice Chef

Ventia is a leading infrastructure services company, operating across Australia and New Zealand. Our clients are the owners and operators of assets that are critical to our local communities.

In partnership with the Australia Defence Force, we are seeking an Apprentice Chef to join the team at HMAS Cerberus at the Royal Australian Navy base. 

HMAS Cerberus is a dynamic environment and is responsible for the largest output of meals served to Defence personnel ranging from 50,000 - 80,000 meals per month.

No experience is necessary!

For this position as we are seeking enthusiastic candidates who have the desire to build a strong career in the Hospitality industry.  Ventia are committed to developing and mentoring their Apprentices so they can learn valuable skills and gain exposure to all aspects of the hospitality industry. 

As an Apprentice Chef with us, you will:

• Have hands-on, full-time employment with an hourly rate of $23.23 per hour
• Complete a Certificate III in Commercial Cookery 
• Gain hands-on experience in a large commercial kitchen
• Have the opportunity to advance into higher level positions
   

With great hospitality hours, this role will see you in a Full-Time position with shifts scheduled anytime between the hours of 6am – 8:30pm Monday to Sunday.
