In support of this growth, Ventia are inviting expressions of interest for SHEQ Advisors to join their global and diverse organisation. 

About the Role

As a SHEQ Advisor you will be responsible for providing specialised guidance and support to the business to assist them in their role to achieve the best performance in Health & Safety.

Your other key responsibilities include:

• Audit and review SOP’s and Risk Assessments and assist employees in developing awareness of these processes.
• Develop and coordinate Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality Management Systems to improve business performance and compliance.
• Provide advice, information, and assistance in Health & Safety Compliance within a risk management framework to support Regulatory/Contractual/Company compliance and Community and other stake holder objectives.
• Improve performance and compliance in the field by conducting regular and systematic site attendance on workgroups and providing routine coaching and mentoring. 

Please note a percentage of this position will see you in the field with Operational staff and will require a willingness to travel regionally.

About you 

To be successful in this role, you should hold the following skills & experience:

• Health and Safety or Risk Management or equivalent certification - Alternative extensive demonstrated knowledge, skills, and experience in Health & Safety.
• Excellent interpersonal and relationship management skills, with experience in managing stakeholders at various levels regarding Health & Safety.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to create strong Health & Safety initiatives in response.
• Proven technical experience in either power systems, overhead distribution, or transmission desirable but not essential.
• Certificate III in ESI - Power Systems - Distribution Overhead (UET30619) or equivalent desirable but not essential.
