Sector Procurement Specialist

Hybrid, West End, Brisbane opportunity to join Ventia as a Sector Procurement Specialist supporting the Infrastructure Services Sector to provide owners and operators of critical infrastructure (including those in Power, Water, Industrial and Resource industries), with operation and maintenance, capital works, environmental services and remediation works.

About the Role
Reporting to the Senior Leadership Team in Group Supply Chain (GSC), the mission of the Sector Procurement Specialist is to deliver exceptional value through the provision of procurement expertise in performing your day-to-day duties, winning work, and driving bid and mobilization success. Responsibilities include -

• Develop and lead the procurement strategy for bids relevant to complexity and value 
• Manage the procurement process during the bid support phase from supplier identification through to contract award, including contract formation and terms negotiation
• Plan and manage supplier onboarding and mobilisation to meet project timelines and compliance requirements 
• Act as procurement advisor to Sector stakeholders to enable business objectives, identify opportunities for performance improvement, value creation, and cost savings
• Support the demobilisation activity related to post project reviews, inventory and plant return and supplier decommissioning

Required Skills and Experience

• Relevant tertiary Business qualifications or equivalent work experience 
• Demonstrated considerable experience in project procurement 
• Strong negotiation ability with suppliers and stakeholders
• Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
