Gas Field Worker

The Role 
Joining the depot based in Wingfield you will work with an inclusive crew with projects based in Northern Suburbs of Adelaide. This is an exceptional position to contribute to the gas industry in which Ventia support and provide up skilling and training.  This position could suit an individual with labouring, plant, machinery experience particularly in the Utility sector looking for their next challenge in the Gas industry. 

What you will be doing:

• Delivering capital works and renewal projects across Adelaide.
• Attend Pre-start and understand scope of works.
• Assemble stock & maintain materials in the Vehicle and Depot.
• Follow compliance and procedures such as Client Procedures and Before You Dig documents.
• Liaise with Traffic Control to ensure safety.
• Locate services, provide maintenance to existing pipes, and backfill.

What you need:

• Certificate III or IV Plumbing & Gas Fitting (desirable but not mandatory)  
• Excavator / Backhoe Ticket, client approved and experienced in excavation around live services (desirable but not mandatory)  
• MR/HR Licence.
• Forklift ticket (desirable but not mandatory)
• Construction Industry White Card.
• First Aid Certificate.
• Experience in utilities, infrastructure and residential projects. (Advantageous)
