Ventia is seeking an experienced Rigging Team Lead with Telecommunications experience to support our Telco contract. Reporting to the Area Supervisor, your will be responsible for a team of riggers on major Installation and modifications of existing Co-Lo and Greenfield telecommunications sites for various carriers across major mobile and broadcast projects throughout WA. This is a great opportunity for someone working as a Support Rigger who is looking to step up into a Lead Rigger position.


This is a fulltime permanent role working Monday to Friday, 07:00am-03:30pm with possible overtime opportunities throughout the week and weekends. Whilst the depot is based in Belmont WA, you will be operating on assets across the Perth metropolitan area.

 

Key duties, but not limited to:

  • Installation, Labelling, weatherproofing, and troubleshooting 3G / 4G / 5G Remote Radio units (RRU’s) and External Coaxial feeder systems/ Hybrid trunk cables (DC and Optical Cables) as per client standards
  • Installation of Antennas, Microwave dishes and other components of Rooftops and Towers
  • Installation and upgrade of existing towers steelwork to support new equipment
  • Collection, analysis, verification of all installation, artefacts, including Optical test results, feeder and antenna system tests, photographs, reports, serial no’s, and As-Builts
  • Supporting Technicians and fellow riggers to delivery Sites in a safe and timely manner
  • Ensuring that sites are managed safely and all the Relevant OHS documentation is completed
  • Provide Support in developing build plans, outlining construction timelines and following relevant client standards
  • Provide regular updates to Field and project managers

 

Requirements:

  • Australian Driver’s License (MR Class preferred)
  • High-Risk Work License – Dogging / Basic Rigging, Elevating Work Platform
  • Construction Induction / White Card
  • Working at height and Tower rescue experience
  • 5 years’ Experience as a Rigger / Dogman in a telecommunications environment or similar
  • Ability to use a variety of hand tools and power tools
  • Physically fit to carry out manual handling tasks
