Ventia is excited to commence a partnership with Waikato based electricity provider WEL Networks to deliver a range of services across their network in the Waikato District on the North Island of Aotearoa. WEL Networks currently connects more than 96,000 residential properties, small businesses and nearly 1,000 commercial and industrial sites to an essential power supply, through approximately 6,800 kilometres of above and below ground power lines. 

With more than 60 years of providing services to New Zealand’s electricity industry, we are pleased to be able to bring our expertise to WEL as they look to develop their network. Kicking off in April 2023, our scope will involve the design, procurement, construction, installation, and commissioning of new electricity infrastructure across the Waikato District.

Lighting Dunedin
Our New Zealand electricity team have recently been recognised for their outstanding design efforts on the Dunedin City Council street lighting replacement project, winning several national honours as part of the 2022 IESANZ (Illumination Engineering Society Australia & New Zealand) Lighting Awards. Connecting Fibre in Alpine NZ
We're not shy of remote locations and Anthea Van Zuylen and her team love a challenging build, have just completed a critical fibre connection at Castle Hill, an alpine village in the Canterbury region. This successful project came directly off the back of delivering a project on behalf of Chorus at Arthur’s Pass, a village nestled amongst the Southern Alps in New Zealand's South Island. Delivering Auckland's City Rail Link
In late 2022, Ventia was chosen to deliver the installation of systems associated with the electrical, communications and associated containment for the two new underground stations for City Rail Link in Auckland. We're really proud to be playing a role in this major infrastructure project – helping to enhance our city’s transport network for the benefit of the community. Read on here.
